Questions
The things people ask before they trust us with a booking.
Yes. Card and airline programs ban selling, trading or pooling points between people. Poolwyn does none of that. Your points stay in your own accounts, and you redeem them with your own bank at the bank's published rate. We simply split one trip across your cards so each card's points can pay its share.
Any US credit card with points or miles you can turn into cash. Capital One, Chase, Wells Fargo, US Bank and Discover it Miles give a full cent a point. Citi gives between half a cent and a cent depending on the card. Amex gives about 0.6 of a cent, and Bilt about 0.55.
We show you the value before you pay. If a card gives less than a cent, you can put that share on the card as cash instead.
Not yet. Most airline and hotel programs do not let you turn miles into cash, so there is no fair way to count them toward a Poolwyn trip. Keep using those the normal way. We will say so when that changes.
No. You type in your balances, or upload a screenshot. We never ask for a bank password and we do not log in to your accounts.
At checkout you choose how much of the trip each card covers. We charge each card its share. Then each card's own points pay that share back as a credit from your bank, usually within a few days. We show you exactly where to tap in each bank's app and remind you until every credit has landed.
The price you see is the price you pay. Like any travel agency, our cut sits inside the price, and US rules require us to show you the full price up front. There is no membership fee at launch.
Points experts can get two cents or more by moving points to an airline and hunting for the right seat. That takes time and knowledge, and it only works on some trips. Poolwyn is for everyone else: the published cash rate, any flight or hotel, no homework. If you enjoy the hunt, do the hunt. If you want the trip, use the pool.
We are building it now. People on the waitlist hear first, and some of them get to book before anyone else. Leave your email on the home page.
No. Poolwyn is a travel agency in the making. We are not affiliated with Chase, Capital One, American Express, Citi, Wells Fargo, US Bank, Discover or Bilt.
